Sound Project Blog Post

  • Why is sound or the lack of sound so important to a scene in a film?
You hear sound all the time, it never stops so having a film without it makes it so important to help portray emotions and feeling in a scene.
  • Explain why it was or was not difficult to come up with sound ideas for a story that would not have visuals for the audience to see.
Once we had an idea for our story, it all came together relatively fast but making sure that the sounds told a cohesive and understandable story while not being too busy in a specific portion were some of the hardest parts of our project.
  • Explain whether you believe or do not believe that your group was able to create a sound story that the audience would be able to understand by just listening to the sounds that were chosen.
I think that my group did an outstanding job creating a sound-driven story that the audience could understand by listening. We used tons of easily identifiable sounds like the self checkout beeping noises, or the car locking sounds to ake sure our audience knew where we going when telling this story.
